​Douglas makes custom instruments to order, offering musicians the opportunity to commission a violin, viola, cello, or baroque string instrument tailored to their particular needs. As a highly experienced professional violist, he brings a player’s insight to every stage of the process, from tone and response to comfort and playability, creating instruments that are both beautiful and uniquely suited to each musician's tastes.​
